Two Of Our Talent Contest Winners Sign Music Publishing Deals With HoriPro Entertainment Group

We are pleased to announce that Chloe Leighton, a SingerUniverse “Best Vocalist Of The Month” Winner, plus Matt Palmer, a SongwriterUniverse “Best Song Of The Month” Winner, have been offered and have signed staff writer publishing agreements with HoriPro Entertainment Group. HoriPro publishes the hit catalogs of KISS, REO Speedwagon, Marilyn Manson, Sophie B. Hawkins, Jerry Reed, the Byrds, plus many country hits. The company has offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and Tokyo.

CHLOE LEIGHTON

Chloe Leighton and Matt Palmer were both offered music publishing deals as a result of being discovered via our talent contests. Leighton, a pop/rock/soul singer/songwriter who now lives in Los Angeles (originally from Sydney, Australia), won the SingerUniverse “Best Vocalist” contest in July 2007. Palmer, a pop/R&B singer/writer (from New York City), won the “Best Song” contest in August 2008.

The success of Leighton and Palmer demonstrates that our SongwriterUniverse and SingerUniverse contests not only provide prizes and publicity, but the winners are given legitimate consideration for music publishing deals by HoriPro. Both writer/artists are currently recording new material, and HoriPro is aggressively promoting their music for major label deals, film/TV and commercial placements, and licensing to other media.

Chloe Leighton

Chloe Leighton is a talented singer/songwriter/pianist who moved this past year to Los Angeles from Sydney, Australia. She recently completed four new songs with hit producer/writer Clif Magness (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Clay Aiken). Leighton is building a strong internet presence – her MySpace page now has 565,000 views. In addition, she will be performing at the prestigious Hotel Café club in Los Angeles on Friday, January 9 (2009). Notably, Leighton is attracting interest from several major labels, and she will be performing label showcases soon.

Matt Palmer

MATT PALMER

Matt Palmer is a promising singer/songwriter/keyboardist who will be graduating this June (2009) from New York University, where he is in their special music program, called The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. Palmer will be in Los Angeles in January to record three of his songs with hit Japanese producer/writer, Shin Murayama, and to co-write and record two new songs. Palmer will then shop for a major label deal, and seek placements of this songs with label artists, and in film/TV and commercials.
