Demo Evaluations (for Vocalists & Artists)

This service provides valuable feedback and evaluation for vocalists and artists who are working to perfect their music, including their performance, presentation, songs, musicianship, production and recording. Each demo submitted shall receive a comprehensive evaluation, with the vocal performance, song & song selection, arrangement, production, and market potential fully reviewed. Whether the submission is professional and near-perfect, or in a much rougher form, we will make the suggestions necessary to maximize the potential of your vocal/artist presentation and performance. Rough demos are truly welcome. We can supply important feedback to you before a large sum is spent producing your definitive recording.

At this time, Dale Kawashima (veteran music publisher/A&R Exec and Head of SingerUniverse & SongwriterUniverse) will be writing every evaluation. The evaluation will be a detailed, typed analysis of every facet of your demo and performance.

If we hear a vocalist or artist presentation that we believe is truly outstanding, we will be happy to refer your music to high-level, industry professionals (such as A&R execs, producers, managers, agents and attorneys). Importantly, all demos submitted for this service will now become automatically eligible to win the SingerUniverse "Best Vocalist Of The Month" Competition, at no extra charge. (This is optional; you can decline to enter this competition). Nevertheless, there can be no guarantee that any given demo/CD will be referred. We do certify that each submittal will receive close, personal attention and our best evaluation effort.

Instructions

You can submit your material for review to SingerUniverse by MP3, or on a CD. You have a choice of submitting a three-song submittal, or a one-song submittal.

The fee for the three-song evaluation is $60.00 U.S..

The fee for the one-song evaluation is $30.00 U.S..

Here are the procedures:

For MP3s, please submit three songs (or one song) via MP3 to this e-mail address: SUevaluations@aol.com. If your songs are already available online, just send us the link to your site, and we will go there to hear your songs. If you do not have a website, please send (in an e-mail attachment) your bio and photo, if available. You will need to pay via credit card for this service.

For CDs, please select three songs (or one song) from your CD that you would like reviewed, indicating the track number of each cut. Please also enclose a photo and bio if available. If your photo is featured on the CD artwork that you've included, that would be fine. If you would like your CD returned, please enclose a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope).

All submittals will be reviewed promptly, and your evaluation shall be sent to you via e-mail (with the evaluation attached) within 7-14 days from the date we receive your package. If you would also like a printed copy mailed to you, please enclose a SASE.

You can pay by either check, money order or credit card. If you are mailing a CD, cassette or lyric submittal, please enclose a check or money order in the package, payable to SingerUniverse. Or you can pay via credit card. For all submittals from outside the United States, please pay by credit card, or by a money order payable in U.S. currency.
